Siren is a petite girl only weighing 111 lbs for her height of 5'4". She has bright green hair, usually tied back into a neat pony-tail that looks like it took forever to make. When her hair is actually down it is relatively straight and runs a few inches past her shoulders. Also to go with all of this she has yellow eyes, that kind of offset her pale white skin.

Her attire usually consists of a long white t-shirt, that flows a few inches past her waist, with 4 belts that loop around her variously across her belly, waist, and below waist region. To go with the white shirt, she wears a dull gray scarf that lays loosely on there, though it never falls; and she also wears fingerless, elbow length gloves. Below all that she wears black pants that fit snugly against her strong legs, and some unique blue glasses that have the appearance of blinds that are carried by the loop of her pants. To finish up the outfit she wears black converses. Also her zanpaktou is worn horizontally, across her back (like Soi Fon and Suzemabachi).

When she used to be forced to be in her shinigami attire, she wore the normal uniform every shinigami wears with a "few minor" adjustments. Hers was cut in the middle which would show her belly if she didn’t have an assortment of brightly colored bandages covering her belly region. The other differences in her outfit is that the bottom part of her outfit is cut short so that it is at finger tip length, she has no sleeves, and she has knee length socks that are the same colors as the assortment of bandages covering her belly.

Unlike some girls who believe that piercings and tattoos are a mistake, Siren sees otherwise. When not trying to look gussied up for the other captains, she has an a black eye brow ring, a studded black nose ring, and a tongue ring that's in the shape of an eighth note. Also to make her even more bad-ass looking Siren has a tattoo of two large wings going down her back, these wings tend to change colors when her MPD is acting up. It is pink when her main personality is in effect, Siren, but it turns black when her other personality is in control, Rin.

Personality

Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental illness that involves the sufferer experiencing at least two clear identities or personality states, each of which has a fairly consistent way of viewing and relating to the world. Some individuals with DID have been found to have personality states that have distinctly different ways of reacting, in terms of emotions, pulse, blood pressure, and blood flow to the brain. This disorder was formerly called multiple personality disorder (MPD) and is often referred to as split personality disorder.

Such an illness has stricken Siren; causing her two have two definitive personalities; Siren and Rin. While Siren remains the dominant personality, there still are multiple and random occasions that Rin takes over, leaving Siren with little to no memories of the incident or incidents. Most of the time, they seem to be dreams or faint memories, leaving Siren confused when she finds the area of the memory. Although most separate personalities seem to require a strong emotion as a trigger to come out, Rin will just randomly take over, disregarding the situation. This has tended to lead to some embarrassing situations in the past. Another interesting note is that Siren and Rin can communicate with each other, not via meditation, but by staring in a reflective surface. This also has lead to a few awkward situations more than once.

Siren:

Siren is the main personality. She encompasses the happier side of life; Siren can be creative, spontaneous, cautious, driven, and still have the time of her life. She always wears her heart on her sleeve and she is very kind, always the one to help the needy. Even though she is all of these things she still has a shy side and she can be extremely self-conscious, but that doesn't stop her for making friends quickly. Conflict between people she cares about is the worst thing to ever happen in Siren's eyes and she'd do anything to stop it. If engaged in an argument herself she will admit to defeat even if she is right.

Being the honest and kind person she tends to be, she tends to hear more than she would like. People just usually like to tell her all of their dark secrets and it causes very awkward situations for poor Siren. Although she is a good listener it does not mean that she is not good at giving advice, if giving permission she will be fully blunt and tell you how it is and what to do.

Siren's biggest problem would be her people-pleasing, she has the worst time saying no to people. She isn't exactly spineless, it's just that she would rather help people out then cause a big commotion by saying no. By not having the real ability to say no, Kitty finds herself overwhelmed with too many things to do and often causing lots of stress on her part, and causing her self doubt.

When she is called to do her duty however, her entire personality seems to change, and become more focused, more confident. She is a sight to watch in battle, and can actually be very blunt and out spoken in such scenarios, her mind being focused on something else than the supposed flaws that have been pointed out to her throughout her life. Her true self shines in these moments; a confident, intelligent, courageous woman who cares for people.

Rin:

Rin is the second personality, her name being derived from the latter part of her name. She encompasses the more… darker emotions of this; anger, sadness, cruelty. Rin can be independent, strong, blunt, sarcastic, and direct. She's always carefree and not too worried about everything going on in the real world. To go with this attitude Rin is a complete tom boy, not really fitting in with any of the girly girls and finding more comfort being around guys. Though even around guys she can seem a little too tough.

Rin is very straightforward in what she says and never beats around the bush regardless of who she is around and how much more authority they have over her. However, she can be sneaky if necessary, sometimes finding amusement in manipulating people by mentioning a name or making a comment at the right time. However, this doesn’t provide her with much amusement, as she prefers to be in the thick of all the mess.

She has black pixie styled hair, that looks all bed-ridden. To go with this look of complete lack of care, is that her face is covered in a mask of some sorts; this mask takes the form of pure white bone, and seems to take up all of her face, but is missing one eye hole. Her eyes are cat like and feral, except for the normal part where yellow is seen, there is an icy blue.

The attire that she wears is very simple, and hoe-like. She wears a long black trench coat, that reaches down to her ankles. Blood smeared bandages wrap around her chest region, stopping a few inches above her belly button in the place of a shirt. Below that she wears black tights, that were cut crudely several inches above the knee, and she wears no shoes whatsoever.

Unique Ability:

This mask gives Siren the power of the Call. Another fine quality of the mask is she gains the basic abilities of a hollow, like a cero, which forms from her palm in a bright pink color. The cero can only be used up to 7 posts while she has the mask on, though if she uses it on her 8th and final post of wearing her mask, it will cause her mask to self destruct, and kill her.

The Call: What this technique does is seemingly a song. It could range from random lyrics, random beats, or anything that is musically related. As long as its music, this technique will be in effect. What this song does is that it lures anyone within ear shot vicinity towards her, in a zombie like state. Once towards her they will begin to dance around her, and continue to do that until the song is over, which could last for as long as the mask is up.

This is all done by the sound waves of the song effecting various parts of the brain, and the hormones within the victim; by doing this she forces them to be in love with the song, and unwillingly come towards her and dance and sing a long to it. If the victim cannot hear the song it will not affect them, and if they suffer some type of harm it will also snap them out of it. Also it can only work on a certain person once per topic.

While using this ability Siren has to keep the song/beat going, and is not allowed to harm those who are under her influence.

Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Otohime

Zanpakuto Description: Otohime while released has the natural ability of being indestructible and has the ability of Hyoumenkane.

Hyoumenkane: What this ability does is completely simple. The second Siren releases her zanpaktou from its sheath, an mind-numbing screech will be heard. This screech will continue until her zanpaktou is completely out of its sheath, and the screech itself is mostly used to distract opponents, and if exposed to it long enough can destroy there ear drum.

Released Zanpakuto Description:

Kuria no hia: Otohime will seem to evaporate into a mist, and then disappear altogether, soon after that a large circle that is easily 45 feet by 45 feet will form around the immediate area, taking on the form of simple blood-red lines. Once that is done, whoever enters the circle, will either have two things happen to them, or if if chosen by Siren nothing will happen to them.

The first effect is making them deaf. This is done by blocking all sound waves from her opponent. By doing this Siren leaves her opponent reliant on their other senses, and making it hard for them to communicate with their allies.

The other effect could be supersonic hearing. This is done by amplifying all the sound waves around her opponent to a degree that they are mind numbing. What this will do is make any sound the opponent hears 30 times louder than it truly is; making even the simple sound of a pencil dropping tear jerking.

As long as the opponent is within the circle these effects can be used on them, the second they leave the circle, all of the effects will disappear and they will revert back to normal. This technique can last up to 10 of my own post.


Hibiki Aigo: What this technique does is make a diamond shield that is usually 10 feet by 10 feet. This shield is made by manipulating massive shockwaves into a condensed form, so that whatever hits it is knocked backwards; since this shield has been made physical it can be shattered. Only lasts 3 of my own posts.Can stand up to level 60 kido.

Assai Nami: This technique is much like Hibiki Aigo, the only true difference being that Assai Nami is an offensive attack, while Hibiki Aigo is a defensive move. Also instead of condensing the shock waves in a solitary spot, this attack sends them hurdling forward, crushing everything in it's path. This is equal to a level 50 kido, and it can send kido 30 and lower hurdling backwards in the direction of its caster.

Bankai Description:

Takai Ri-to: This ability is innate and works on everyone, friend or foe, as long as they are within Siren's view. If the inflicted stays out of her sight then this will have no effect on them.By letting out a high ranged frequency, Siren can send signals to the inflicted's brain, making them remember everyone they've ever harmed and/or killed. If they remain in Siren's view, they will constantly be hearing the wails, and cries of everyone they ever harmed; if they have done this to many this can cause in a brain overload, making it harder to fight.

Suiryou Mokushi: This ability is activated by first Siren calling out the technique's name, than banging her dual zanpaktou together, making a metallic clang. If the opponent hears the clang, the ability will begin. The sound at first will make the opponent involuntarily flinch , making them close there eyes; once there eyes open everything is changed. First they will notice that everything's color is inverted, than they will notice that everything they see keeps swaying back in forth giving it the illusion of being tripled, and finally they will notice that they cannot hear a thing.

This is all done by sending sound waves into the brain, and destroying and/or messing with certain functions so that they either do not work, or function properly. This lasts 10 of my own posts, and once the opponent hears this once (once in the whole forum) then this technique can be used on them whenever without them having to hear it.


Also note that Siren can also use all her abilities from her shikai.

History:

Human Arc

Ever since Siren was little, she was reminded over and over of her family's stature and how she was going to have to take control of it all. Of course at first this was exciting to a small child. To be boss of everyone, to be well known and adored. Who could want more? Little did she know that what came with this title is more responsibility, and the need for more knowledge.

Once she entered Preschool, her parents began to teach her everything about the family business. They continued their studies of the business, until she reached Kindergarten; by then they started to teach her all they knew about anything dealing with medicine, ranging from the technology to the research. This is when she finally realized that, this job wasn't going to be all fun and games, which was still alright with her, so she continued her studies.

As the years passed she learned not only about all the challenges of the family business, but also of all the other jobs the other kids her ages were interested in. This made her jealous; how come they could chose their careers but she couldn't? She loved the career path that she was on, but she was upset that she didn't get to choose it herself; she knew this made her sound spoiled but she just yearned for the day when she got to choose something herself.

Slowly, envy entered Siren's heart, and she began to rebel. She began to ask her parents for freedom to choose things for herself; like being able to pick out her own clothes, to decorate her room how she liked, to be able to study something new. Her family wouldn't have it, so she began to rebel. Secretly she began to buy her own clothes, and began to slack in her studies.

This lack of interest horrified them so they let her have some more freedom by letting her pick out her own friends and clothes, but she would have to have an arranged marriage. The envy grew, each day she thought about the arranged marriage. It seemed like every time they took a step to giving their daughter happiness they took two steps back.

This time she made her rebellion less subtle, so that they wouldn't take more freedom from her. She kept her studies up; but she became more secluded, and distanced herself from her family. The only time her and her family really talked was during her studies and that was it.

Than on Siren's 17th birthday, the Witch Trials began. People all over the world were afraid of things that they couldn't explain so they started to blame people, and yelling that they were different. These accusations could of been from that human being an advanced human, or a hollow's destruction and the human being the only person standing around there. Whatever it was, people were scared, and they wanted to kill all that they feared. This brought them to Siren's door.

It seems that just last week, she was walking through town, when a hollow attacked. Due to no one being able to see them, everyone freaked. Except for Siren because for some reason she could see the hollow, and she wasn't afraid. While everybody ran from the destruction, she just stood there and watched. Many spectators noticed this and accused her of being a witch. So, she was put on trial, and the next day she was burned to the stake.


Soul Society Arc

Siren one day woke up in a strange place, having no memory of how she appeared here and what happened before she appeared here. It seemed off, to have no recollections of anything, yet it gave her an inner peace. So, with this new happiness she began to explore the town. Going up and down alleys, running into various dead ends, until she reached the market place. As she neared, she saw dozens of thugs just sitting around munching on various store bought items, though she had a feeling that they didn't buy any of this. Still she continued to walk forward, until she reached the first food stand.

Once there she asked the man where she was, and his feeble, timid answer was Zaraki. With that all the thugs began to stand up, and they brandished a weapon, than they charged at the man who just spoke and began to slaughter him. Fear took over and Siren ran off, back to where she started. Tears flooded down her face, as she neared her destination, but just before she reached it her knees buckled and she fell down. Then it all went black.

Next thing she knew, she was being carried by one of the thugs from before. Apparently he found her, and now she was his slave. She was to do the dishes, tend to the farm, and whatever other deeds he wanted done. For five long years Siren did this, going on secret errands, risking her life for a man she did not even like.

Until, one day the man asked her to steal from a shinigami. As she always did she followed the man's orders and charged at the shinigami attempting to steal there zanpaktou, though just as she placed her hands on it, the shinigami flipped her over their shoulder, and glared at her. Though soon there eyes lightened as a smile crept on there face. With that he began to talk about how Siren had strong spiritual pressure, and had to join the shinigami academy. Hope filled Siren's heart, though she knew she couldn't go, with that she glared at the thug who imprisoned her.

As if he understood the shinigami, pulled out their zanpaktou, and said something. With that a flash of light appeared, and when it was over the thug was all bloodied and dead, yet it looked as if the shinigami never moved. The shinigami placed his hand on Siren's head as he began to give her the directions to the shinigami academy, and that she was to tell them that Dark Gin requested her; and she did so, taking the needed directions and arriving at the shinigami academy, and they took her in.

Eight years later, Siren was graduating from the academy, a full two years ahead of the rest the academy students. Happiness filled Siren's, as she was given her zanpaktou. All that training, and constant studying finally got her to what she wanted, and she was ready. Soon after graduating she was put into Squad 3, and already put as the 5th Seat. She took this position with honor, and did everything she could to help her squad.

Slowly, she began to rise in ranks, without the aid of a shikai, due to her not being able to hear her zanpaktou spirit. Until, one night, she awoke in a strange, foggy world. Where she met her zanpaktou spirit, and learned of it's name. Ever since then she quickly rose up the ranks until she reached Lieutenant.


Once she was lieutenant, she began to work vigorously to make her squad stronger and better. Though there was one thing she never thought of doing, and that was be a test subject for her squad, until her squad got into an experiment where no one wanted to be a subject. So, she accepted the job without even knowing what it was about. Soon experiments were being done on her, over and over, mind-numbing pain; yet she didn't ever scream or tell them to stop, she endured for the best of her squad.

Though after many tests, a new identity began to form. With that three new people just joined into Siren's world. After so many tests her mind began to double, forming a multiple personality disorder, where she had a kind side and a blood thirsty side; and to go with this she developed an inner hollow.

The next day the blood thirsty side took ahold of Siren's body, and challenged her captain to a dual for his rank. The captain accepted, and with that they fought. Siren fought and fought, but she seemed to be no match for the captain's bankai, until she slipped into her zanpaktou realm.

There she talked and talked to her zanpaktou, wanting her bankai. Soon she fought for it with her zanpaktou and won. Waking up, she smiled evilly at the captain, unleashing her bankai. Within seconds he was down and she was the new captain.

The next day Siren woke up and had no memory of this. Though with one glance in the mirror she saw someone else looking back at her. Talking to this other person she realized what happened and sadness filled her heart, though that didn't mean she would back down from being captain. So, for the next several years she held her spot with honor.

After only ten years of being captain, Siren began to sense something wrong with her own spiritual pressure; and before she knew it a mask slowly started spreading across her body, and she was destroying everything in sight. No one could stop her, the Soul Society feared her for this. So while on her rampage the Captain Commander himself came, and destroyed her mask, making it shatter and break off into the wind. Once that was done, she passed out and they dropped her off into a foreign land.

Ever since then Siren has been trying to adapt to her new personalities, and has been trying to survive. Since she used to be a captain surviving was second nature, so she lived pretty easily in the forest. Though her softer side would not harm any of the animals, so she did not truly eat until Rin came out. This all continued until one day a man appeared, claiming to be an old friend. Luckily, Siren was out at the time, so as soon as she heard they were friends and he proved it by recalling the moment before she joined the shinigami academy, she decided to join him. For she knew that he was like her, and that he could help her.
